Walk Report No 23 Sun 19th Nov 2017 Shankill River & Butter Mountain 465m

Weather: - Cloudy, overcast, mild autumn weather, misty on high ground  Distance walked 11.5Km 8 Walkers today. The GM, John, Robin, Ken, Norman, Nick, Richard and Mr Cashin. The programme decreed that it was a two car walk, however because the last time we did it , I had my window smashed, for no gain, when parked just up from the Stone Cross at Ballinascorney.  The GM and the MITF, made it a one car walk.  It was a good 11.5 km with 7km of that on tarmacadam roads. Walk Report No 22 Sun 6th Nov 2017 Scarr and Kanturch from Old Bridge

Weather: - Windy and Sunny   distance 9Km     Climb  333m. 7 walkers today. The GM, Robin,Dermot Ken Norman, Nick and Tom B. Despite gale force winds this was a most enjoyable hike, with the way surrounded by panoramic views in every direction, as per Tom’s photos.  With Dermot’s car left up past the Scouts Centre, we started the walk half a kilometre up the Wicklow Way near the last farm house at 280m.
