Walk Report #19 Sun 23rd September 2018 Prince William Seat and Knocknagun.

Weather mostly dry and windy; distance approx. 8 Km, Climb 280m   Meeting at Ballinteer were, John Cruise, Ken Keaveney and Rob Dixon (Sporting his new VW just off the forecourt, still with its NI number plates). We were informed that Noel Doyle and Pat Cashin would be joining us at the Glencree reconciliation centre car park. On arrival, the car park was quite busy as the Glencree Peace Walk was also on the 23rd. Walk Report #18 Sun 9th September 2018 Kanturk and Scarr.

Weather dry and windy; distance 8.25Km Climb 500m When I drove into the car park at Ballinteer I was surprised to see a familiar sight, one I had not expected to see, Pat Loughrey with the Sunday papers spread out on the steering wheel of his car, keeping up with the times as he waited for the usual stragglers to arrive. John Cruise was away TEFLing the Spaniards and I had gotten an email from Hugh Sweeney saying that he was unwell so I knew that both of them would be absent. Walk Report #17 Sun 26th August 2018 Croghanmoira

Weather dry with high wind and mist; distance 6.25Km Climb 640m The quality of rain is not ‘strained, It droppeth mercilessly from the Heavens! The Merchant of Venice (Global Warming Edition 2018) Overnight and early morning heavy rain made the day look almost impossible to even contemplate going out on the hills, especially as the walk was in far-off Glenmalure but fortunately it eased off enough by nine o’clock to give hope that our long distance drive would be rewarded.
