Walk Report #03 Sun 10th February 2019 Over Cruagh to Massy’s Wood

Weather, cold and windy with weak wintery Sun; distance 10.7 Km, Height gain 300m. Four brothers, John Cruise, Dermot Gunn, Norman MacLachian and Hugh Sweeney met at Ballinteer Inn at the appointed time on another cold winter’s morning. Noel Doyle was doing his own split thing starting from the Cruagh car park and we were hoping to meet up with him on the boardwalk later. Walk Report #02 Sun 27th January 2019 Glen o’ the Downs

Weather cold, strong wind with sunny spells;  Distance 9.8 km,  Height gain 225m. Having glanced at the programme for this year I, for some inexplicable reason, thought that this walk was in the Devil’s Glen, even to the extent of checking the map before the appointed day. It’s an age thing I suppose but the surprise wasn’t, it hit me right in the teeth.
